ANNA & TIM

Anna & Tim chose Taormina, Sicily for their intimate elopement, celebrating their day with a small and personal ceremony in one of the most beautiful locations in Italy.

Their day was documented using a mix of digital photography, 35mm film, and VHS, combining clean modern imagery with the authentic texture and nostalgic feel of analog formats. The result is a collection of memories that captures their day in a natural and timeless way.

An intimate wedding in Taormina, Sicily

Photographing an intimate wedding or elopement in Taormina means working within a place that already has a strong identity — historic streets, Mediterranean light and the distinct atmosphere of Sicily.

During this elopement, I followed the couple through the town, choosing quieter moments and softer light whenever possible while keeping the experience natural and unforced. My approach remains documentary, with minimal direction, allowing Taormina to become part of the story rather than simply a backdrop.

Digital photography, 35mm film and VHS can be combined to create different textures while maintaining the same visual language throughout the day.
